Ahmad Brooks has said that he expects to play against the Seattle Seahawks in the NFC championship game this weekend, despite suffering from a "severe cold".
The San Francisco 49ers linebacker missed Wednesday's practice with the illness, but was able to take part yesterday.
The 29-year-old told reporters: "I'm feeling alright. Just got a head cold, a severe cold. I'm trying to sweat it out as much as possible and get ready for the game."
Brooks has recorded 4.5 sacks during the team's two playoff wins this post-season.
