Jim Harbaugh has confirmed that Colin Kaepernick will remain the San Francisco 49ers' starting quarterback for a fourth game.
The 25-year-old replaced Alex Smith after impressing against the Chicago Bears, when Smith was unable to play through concussion.
Errors by Kaepernick on Sunday directly led to the St Louis Rams scoring 10 points, including a pitch pass that allowed a defensive touchdown for the home side.
The head coach told the 49ers' website: "It starts with me. I should have not let the play be called.
"Too much chance on the play to go sideways and backwards at that point of the game. I take responsibility for that."
The 49ers face the Miami Dolphins at Candlestick Park this weekend.
