San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick has dismissed reports suggesting that there are problems between him and other players on the roster.

Kaepernick and his team's performances have attracted criticism so far this season, with the 49ers currently in possession of a 2-5 record heading into Sunday's games against the St Louis Rams.

However, the 27-year-old has rejected a recent report that claimed he kept his distance from teammates.

"No, reports don't bother me," he told reporters. "My relationship with my teammates is great. That's all I'm worried about. What the perspective is outside the locker room really has nothing to do with me or this team.

"I have a great relationship with my teammates. To me, that's the situation that I don't know what the agenda is saying that [I'm on an island], or what the credibility of that source is. I have a great relationship with my teammates and I'll leave it at that."

Kaepernick has recovered from a thumb injury to prove his fitness ahead of the meeting with the Rams.
