San Francisco 49ers defensive end Ray McDonald will delay biceps surgery to continue playing this season.

Ray McDonald has decided to delay surgery to repair his partially torn biceps to continue playing this season.

The San Francisco 49ers defensive end sustained the injury during the NFC West side's 34-3 win over the Houston Texans.

"It's going to be sore, but it should be fine," NBC Sports quotes the 29-year-old as saying.

McDonald, who will need surgery at the end of the season, has 20 tackles and 1.5 sacks so far this campaign.
