San Francisco 49ers right guard Alex Boone is reportedly set to skip all of the team's voluntary activities this summer.
The five-year veteran is in the final year of his contract, and was a no-show for the start of the three-day mini-camp earlier this week.
Boone adopted a similar tactic last year as he sat out training camp before finally returning in September after the organisation had agreed to add incentives to his base salary.
CSN Bay Are reported that although he won't skip training camp again this year, he wants to discuss a contract extension sooner rather than later.
Meanwhile, the same report also suggests that he is not against a trade deal, although it isn't expected that the Niners will let it come to that.
