Hall of Fame cornerback Deion Sanders believes that the San Francisco 49ers players want head coach Jim Harbaugh removed from his position.
The 49ers have had a below-par start to the season as they have lost to the Arizona Cardinals and the Chicago Bears, but managed to move back to 2-2 in their campaign with a hard-fought win against the Philadelphia Eagles.
However, Sanders is adamant that Harbaugh no longer has the support of the locker room.
He told NFL Network: "They want him out. They're not on the same page. I really want to know if they're really playing for the head coach.
"I got a question with that. Are you really down with your head coach, San Francisco 49ers? Because the way it looks and what I'm hearing, you're really not down for your head coach. And that's a problem.
"They really got some problems that we hear rumblings. We all know people inside locker rooms."
Harbaugh was linked with the coaching vacancy at the Cleveland Browns in the off-season before Mike Pettine move to the AFC North side.
