San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick has spent the off-season working on how to harness his athleticism.
Kaepernick has been working with former MVP Kurt Warner, and the latter revealed what the pair have been focusing on.
"What I love first and foremost that's Colin's working hard. The hard thing is that you're taking a guy who has relied so much on his athletic ability over the years and you're trying to turn him into a guy who can be more comfortable in a quarterback position," Warner told NFL Total Access.
Warner added that the difficult part for the Niners signal-caller is finding the balance between being a quarterback and an athlete.
The 27-year-old set career highs in passing yards and rushing yards last season, but also posted a career low in passer rating and averaged just 7.0 yards per attempt.
