Seattle Seahawks defensive end Michael Bennett has claimed that his side's defense are the best to ever play the game.
The Seahawks have allowed just 33 points in their last five games, while they have also held their opponents to an average of just 193 yards per game as they have rediscovered their Super Bowl-winning form of last season.
Pete Carroll's side booked their place in the playoffs with their win over the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday, and are poised to secure the number one seed for home-field advantage throughout the post-season.
Bennett told NFL Network: "We're the best defense to ever play football, so when we play the way we play, the way we're capable of playing, whatever [third-string quarterback Ryan Lindley] did didn't really matter.
"When we line up and play the way we are capable of playing, I don't think anybody can play with us."
The Seahawks will earn the number one seed in the NFC with a win over the St Louis Rams in week 17.
