The Seattle Seahawks are not expected to pick up the fifth-year option on outside linebacker Bruce Irvin's contract.
If confirmed by the organisation, who have until Sunday to pick up the option, Irvin will become a free agent after playing out his rookie deal in 2015.
Speculation also suggests that the Seahawks could look to trade him to the Atlanta Falcons during the NFL Draft, which starts on Thursday evening.
Irvin took to Twitter on Thursday to insist that "it's a business", which suggests he is prepared to move on this summer.
ESPN Seattle are looking to create salary-cap space for new deals for quarterback Russell Wilson and middle linebacker Bobby Wagner.
