Seattle Seahawks defensive back Earl Thomas has insisted that he will not be affected by his shoulder injury in the Super Bowl against the New England Patriots.
The 25-year-old sustained the injury in the NFC championship game against the Green Bay Packers and was forced from the field for a spell in the first half, but returned to the field to play out the match.
Thomas did miss some of his side's practice sessions at the start of the week, but trained on a limited basis on Friday, with head coach Pete Carroll insisting that his Pro Bowl safety was over the injury.
Thomas told reporters: "Nothing is limited. I'm still going to play fearless. I'm still gonna throw my body around. Whatever happens happens."
The safety recorded 97 tackles, three forced fumbles and one interception in the 2014 regular season.
