The Seattle Seahawks have come to an agreement with Marshawn Lynch over a two-year contract extension.
The 28-year-old's future with the club was in doubt after their loss in the Super Bowl as he refused to confirm whether he would return to the NFL after a season-long contract dispute with the NFC West side.
Lynch was under contract for the 2015 campaign, but with the addition of two extra years, he will now remain with the Seahawks until the end of the 2017 campaign.
The running back could earn up to $31m [£20.6m] courtesy of the new agreement, if he plays out the terms of the contract with Pete Carroll's men.
Lynch rushed for 1,306 yards and 13 touchdowns for the Seahawks in the 2014 season.
