St Louis Rams running back Todd Gurley has admitted that he is willing to be patient in his bid to return from injury to play in his rookie season.
The 21-year-old was chosen by the Rams with the eighth overall pick in the 2015 Draft, despite sustaining a torn ACL last season in a college game with the Georgia Bulldogs.
Gurley has made strides in his recovery during the off-season, but head coach Jeff Fisher ruled him out of the first game of the 2015 season, and the back has revealed that he is willing to wait for his chance.
He told reporters: "I can do everything. The beanie's off, so I'm good.
"I definitely would want to be playing, but I know it's going to be a long journey. You have to be patient and when the time comes it comes. I'll be ready for it."
The Rams open their season against the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday.
