Football Association general secretary Alex Horne has said that Wembley could host the Super Bowl in the future.
The stadium will host three regular season NFL games during the 2014 season, all of which have sold out, leading to further speculation that the league may look to establish a London franchise.
Horne told The Times: "It's football's home, England's home first and foremost.
"If we could find another tenant that fitted in and worked, I would go for it. We owe it to ourselves to see if it would work. Then we can get the Super Bowl."
Eight regular season games have been held at Wembley since the NFL International Series began in London in 2007.
