Washington Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III has revealed that he "can't wait" to get to work with new head coach Jay Gruden.
The former Cincinnati Bengals offensive coordinator replaces Mike Shanahan, who was fired by the club last week after leading the Redskins to a 3-13 record during the 2013 campaign.
Griffin told ESPN reporter Rick Reilly: "Great decision. Fresh start. Can't wait."
The 23-year-old suffered from a regression in his second season in the NFL as he threw for just 16 touchdowns and was also intercepted 12 times.
