Washington Redskins coach Jay Gruden has revealed that the franchise would not hesitate to draft a quarterback with the number five overall pick in the NFL Draft 2015.
His comments come a day after general manager Scot McCloughan conceded that the organisation wouldn't rule the possibility out.
"It's something we have to talk about in-house," Gruden said, according to CSN Washington.
"If we think it's worth the risk to hit the reset button, if he's that good of a football player, if we decide in the building that he's that good of a football player that we think we should do that, then we should do that."
Gruden reiterated on Monday that the starting job was Robert Griffin III's, but drafting another signal-caller would signal additional competition.
