The Washington Redskins have not made an official offer to extend the contract of linebacker Brian Orakpo, according to a report.
The 27-year-old has been an integral part of the Redskins defense since being selected in the first round of the 2009 Draft, but he will be out of contract when the league year ends later this month.
Despite handing extensions to DeAngelo Hall and Chris Baker, the Redskins are yet to approach Orakpo over a new deal with the club and have not placed the franchise tag on him, reports the Washington Post.
The linebacker recorded 60 tackles, 10 sacks along with an interception last season.
