Australia's Michael Shelley has claimed gold in the men's marathon at the Commonwealth Games in a time of 2:11.15.
The 30-year-old edged out Kenya's Stephen Chemlany and Abraham Kiplimo of Uganda to make amends after being made to settle for a silver in Delhi four years ago.
England's Steven Way, who weighed some 16 stone and smoked 20 cigarettes per day back in 2007, finished in 10th place with a new personal best, while Scotland's Derek Hawkins came in one place higher in ninth.
Shelley's triumph marks his nation's 19th gold at the Games and 52nd medal in total as Australia sit seven clear of England at the summit of the table.
