Cuba have added a Paralympic gold medal to their tally following Leonardo Diaz's win in the men's F54/55/56 discus final.
Drazenko Mitrovic of Serbia was convinced that he had taken the top honour after throwing a world-record distance of 32.97m. However, the athlete had to settle for silver after Diaz set a new record.
The Cuban managed to throw an impressive 44.63m, which earned him maximum points and the gold medal, while Ali Mohammad of Iran secured the bronze medal with a throw of 41.98m.
Azerbaijan's Olokhan Musayev just missed out on a podium place after throwing a personal best of 41.77m.
