Harry Aikines-Aryeetey has admitted that he would like to come away from the Commonwealth Games with a medal.
The English sprinter, who missed the 2012 Olympics with a torn hamstring, matched his personal best in the 100m last month.
The 25-year-old told Athletics Weekly: "The stadium is a lovely place to compete and I can't wait to go there, perform well, make the final and get a medal.
"I missed out on 2012, I tore my hamstring before the Championships, but even so I hadn't had the greatest of seasons competing individually, so to get a medal at the Commonwealth Games at what is kind of like a home Games for me would be amazing.
"I want to get medals. It's about time, I'm 25 years old and I want to be in the mix. I'm enjoying competing again which is nice, and moving forward it's about realising my potential and trusting myself."
Aikines finished second in the British Championships earlier this year behind Dwain Chambers, who is not competing in Glasgow.
