Iranian discus thrower Ehsan Hadadi has launched himself into the final of the men's Olympic event with ease.
Hadadi will contest for a gold medal after throwing a 65.19m at the first time of asking, with Erik Cadee of the Netherlands coming the nearest so far with a 63.55m first attempt.
Meanwhile, Great Britain hopeful Brett Morse got his campaign off to a poor start after committing a foul throw when he came out of the circle just after launching a shot, which reached just under the 60m mark.
Abdul Buhari and Lawrence Okoye are also representing Great Britain in the qualifying rounds.
