Jamaica's Jason Livermore pays tribute to his teammates after Usain Bolt guides his nation to 4x100m relay gold at the Commonwealth Games.

Jamaican gold medallist Jason Livermore has paid credit to his teammates after they secured gold in the men's 4x100m final at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.

The team, comprised of Livermore, Nickel Ashmeade, Kemar Bailey-Cole and Olympic champion Usain Bolt, stormed ahead of England to set a new Games record of 37.58s.

"It's a wonderful feeling," Livermore told Sports Mole. "To come here and get a gold tonight, I give my teammates Nickel Ashmeade, Kemar Bailey-Cole, Usain Bolt - they came here tonight and really played their game."

When asked about how the wet conditions could have potentially affected their performance, Livermore said: "You have to adjust to the cause. It was a tough one for us because it had been raining and the cold, so we had to adjust. We knew what we had to do, so we just came out tonight and did that."

England's team of Adam Gemili, Harry Aikines-Aryeety, Richard Kilty and Danny Talbot ensured that they went home with a silver medal after finishing the relay in 38.02s

"The English will always be our rival - they have a wonderful team," Livermore added.

Trinidad & Tobago clinched the final spot on the podium by racing over the finish line third.
