The athletics track at the London 2012 Olympic stadium has been completed.
The running surface, which is made of synthetic rubber, has been designed by an Italian company called Mondo.
Five world records were set on a similar surface at the Beijing Olympics four years ago and the 2012 organisers have recently confirmed that they are hoping to at least match that statistic next summer.
The 80,000-capacity stadium is close to completion, with the anticipated final cost of the work believed to be reaching £486m.
