Paula Radcliffe has said that she is determined to end her Olympic heartbreak by capturing gold at London 2012.
The world marathon record holder, who has suffered a fair share of Olympic disappointment over the years is determined to record a win on home soil.
"It is a once in a lifetime opportunity that will give all of us British athletes a huge boost and motivation," said the world and European 5,000m champion.
"My ambition for 2012 is to stand on the start line fit and healthy and be able to give it 100% in the race.
"For me, the next 12 months are about working harder to become better, faster and stronger. Whatever your goal, beat it and better it by making this year count."
