A 100-year-old British man has become the oldest person to complete a marathon.
Fauja Singh, from Ilford in East London, completed the Toronto Waterfront Marathon in Canada yesterday in a time of eight hours, 25 minutes and 16 seconds.
Coach Harmander Singh said of the feat: "Earlier, just before we came around the (final) corner, he said, 'achieving this will be like getting married again'. He's absolutely overjoyed, he's achieved his lifelong wish."
Fauja Singh's training regime includes running 10 miles a day and a diet of "ginger curry and tea".
