Yohan Blake ran the second fastest 200m of all time at the Diamond League meeting in Brussels.
The Jamaican posted a time of 19.26 seconds, just 0.07 seconds slower than world record holder Usain Bolt.
"I was looking for this and I got it. I expected to run fast but not this fast," said the 21-year-old.
"The last 40m was crazy, but I'm like a beast when that happens. I just take control of the track."
Blake recently won the 100m gold medal at the World Championships in Daegu, South Korea, after his fellow countryman, and favourite, Bolt was disqualified in the semi-finals.
