Katarina Johnson-Thompson has revealed that she is performing with 'no fear' this year after injuries ruined her 2014 campaign.
A foot problem stopped Johnson-Thompson from competing at the Commonwealth Games and European Championships, but ahead of featuring in the pentathlon at the European Indoors, the Liverpudlian admits that she is keen to remind supporters of her ability.
The 22-year-old is quoted by BBC Sport as saying: "I'm not afraid to compete anymore. I'm riled and raring to go. I wanted to show the world what I should have done last year so I'm still continuing that journey.
"It didn't feel very nice to have to sit out and watch two major championships. But this year, I haven't felt nervous to compete or worried, I've just wanted to go out there and compete. It's obviously helped me as the results are showing. It's doing me good."
Johnson-Thompson has broken British records in the long jump and high jump in recent weeks.
