Jamaica have decided to leave national 200m sprint champion Steve Mullings out of the squad for the World Championships in South Korea later this month.
The 28-year-old is currently the third fastest man in the world over 100m.
However, the Jamaica Athletics Association confirmed that Mullings had been left out of the team because of an outstanding issue.
"If the matter is resolved in his favour, there is a provision where he can be re-instated," revealed the JAA in a statement.
Reports suggest that Mullings may have been the Jamaican team member who tested positive for drugs at the recent national trials.
The Jamaican Anti-Doping Commission have yet to identify the offender.
