Christine Ohuruogu is adamant that she will compete in the World Championships despite finishing last in her final major event before Daegu.
The 27-year-old was left trailing at the London Diamond League meeting, finishing two seconds behind winner Sanya Richards-Ross.
"I don't believe it will take me long to get fit. I'm still going [to the World Championships]," said Ohuruogu.
"You need to be fit, you need to be fast and need to be strong. I'm lacking in a few areas. I just haven't done enough work to challenge these girls.
"I did enjoy [the race], I've missed running with these girls. I gave them all a big hug before we started."
Olympic 400m champion Ohuruogu has already achieved the qualifying time required for the Great British squad travelling to South Korea.
