Commonwealth champion Blessing Okagbare has withdrawn from the 200m event at the World Athletics Championships in Beijing.
The Nigerian sprinter, who won gold in the 100m and 200m at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow last summer, had been one of the favourites for both sprint titles, but finished last in the 100m final, which was won by Jamaica'a Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce.
Okagbare, who is also scheduled to compete in the women's long jump tomorrow, was due to race in the third heat of the 200m this afternoon, but failed to show up.
Okagbare won bronze in the 200m in the 2013 championships in Moscow, where she also secured silver in the long jump.
