South African Paralympic runner Oscar Pistorius has called on spectators to give him "support" for tonight's T44 100m final.
The 25-year-old, who has caused controversy after hitting out against the legal length of blades at the Paralympic Games, has claimed that this evening's contest is not his best event.
Pistorius tweeted: "100m Final tonight! It isn't my event and will need all the support to push it hard but looking forward to it! Good luck to my competitors!"
Pistorius will be going up against British hopeful Jonnie Peacock.
