London Games double gold medalist Mo Farah has revealed that he will switch his focus to marathon running after next month's World Championships in Moscow.

Farah will compete in the 5,000 and 10,000m races in Russia, which are the two distances he won in London, but the 30-year-old said that if his training for the Great North Run goes well, then he could switch to the marathon for the Rio Olympics.

"I'll be doing the Great North Run half-marathon in September and then I'll take a break, hopefully somewhere nice, and then get ready for the marathon," Farah told Sky Sports News.

"If I'm good at the marathon and it works well, you could see me in the marathon in Rio. If it doesn't work out, you could see me back on the track."

Farah won the 3,000m race at the Anniversary Games on Saturday afternoon.
