British 400m runner Lee McConnell has admitted that she is looking to perform better during tomorrow's semi-final.
The 33-year-old qualified from the heats following a third-place finish earlier this afternoon, clocking a time of 52.23s in the process.
Looking ahead to her battle for a place in the final, the Scot insisted that she feels in good shape.
"I felt okay and quite good," she told BBC Sport. "I'm looking forward to running another round tomorrow. I felt very comfortable which I'm happy with. Hopefully I can go a bit better tomorrow."
McConnell has never won a medal at an Olympic Games.
