Olympics: Guide to day 15

:Headline: Olympics: Guide to day 15: ID:39710: from db_amp
Great Britain continue to chase medals in athletics, boxing, canoe slalom, diving and hockey on the penultimate day of the Olympic Games.

The final scramble for precious Olympic medals is on as we enter the penultimate day of London 2012.

Great Britain has a number of strong medal hopes as they look to end an impressive Games on a high note.

Sports Mole guides you through the must-watch events of day 15 of the Olympic Games.

Canoe sprint at 9.30am

Great Britain have every chance of claiming an early medal as Ed McKeever goes in the men's canoe sprint final.

McKeever qualified in great style and is aiming to take on Tim Brabants's mantle as British Olympic canoe champion.

Diving from 10am

The pressure is on for Great Britain's Tom Daley as he pursues his Olympic dream in the men's 10m individual platform semi-final at 10am.

Daley will need to improve on Friday's showing in the heats, where he finished just 15th out of 18 Olympic qualifiers.

If Daley makes the top 12 he will progress to the final, due to take place at 8.30pm.

Hockey at 3.30pm

After suffering the pain of a 9-2 thrashing against Holland in the semi-final, Team GB's men have a chance to regain pride and earn an Olympic medal in the bronze medal playoff against Australia.

Britain will need to find the form they showed in the second half of their group match against the Aussies earlier in the tournament, where they came back from 3-0 down to salvage a draw.

Athletics from 7.30pm

Mo Farah aims for an Olympic double as he runs in the men's 5,000m final at the Olympic Stadium.

American training partner Galen Rupp, who took silver behind Farah in the 10,000m final earlier this week, will be a major threat to the Brit's chances of success.

Usain Bolt has the chance to make it three gold medals at London 2012 when he helps bring the athletics programme to a close with teammate Yohan Blake in the men's 4x100m final at 9pm.

Boxing at 8.45pm

Great Britain's Luke Campbell fights Ireland's John Joe Nevin in the men's bantamweight final, with both teams looking to make it two Olympic boxing gold medals.

Campbell and Nevin could emulate the success of Nicola Adams and Katie Taylor in what promises to be a titanic battle at the Excel Arena.
