Great Britain's Shara Proctor has said that she is 'hoping' to win an Olympic medal in the women's long jump.
The American-born jumper qualified for tomorrow's final with her first jump of 6.83m, 13cm clear of the automatic qualifying mark.
Speaking to BBC Sport after her jump, the 24-year-old said: "I really hope I get a medal.
"[The crowd] definitely helped me jump a 6.83. There is a 7m jump in me but right now I'm not thinking about distance, just getting a medal."
Tomorrow's final begins at around 8.05pm.
