Team GB's Jessica Ennis has finished 10th in the shot put discipline of the heptathlon this evening.
Ennis, who entered the event leading the heptathlon rankings, threw a best of 14.28m, putting her eighth in her group and 10th overall.
Katarina Johnson-Thompson, who began the event third in the rankings, could only manage a best throw of 11.32m, leaving her bottom of the shot put pile.
Team GB's other participant, Louise Hazel, posted a score of 12.81m to finish 10th in her group.
Lithuania's Austra Skujyte claimed the highest score of the round, throwing a world heptathlon best of 17.31m to overtake Ennis at the top of the heptathlon rankings.
Meanwhile, Johnson-Thompson's poor showing saw her plummet in the rankings from third place to 20th.
