Great Britain's Paralympic wheelchair racer Jamie Carter has dedicated his qualification spot in the men's T34 200m final to his late grandfather.
The teenager narrowly booked a spot in the final as one of the fastest losers after coming in fifth in his heat with a time of 30.85s.
"Today means more than anything to me because it's the day I lost by granddad, so to do it today is a big day for me," Carter told Channel 4. "That one's for my granddad and my coach (Jenny Archer)."
The 17-year-old is competing in his first Paralympic Games after discovering the sport two years ago.
