Great Britain's Kyron Duke has failed to medal in the men's F40 javelin final after finishing eighth at the Olympic Stadium.
The youngster, who has been competing in the dwarfism category, struggled in his last attempt and could only throw a best length of 38.64m, which put him out of a medal position.
Ahmed Naas of Iraq looked set to clinch the gold medal after blasting his javelin 43.27m until China's Wang Zhiming broke the world record with a throw that reached 47.95m.
Naas picked up the silver medal, while his compatriot Wildan Nukhailawi secured the bronze and completed the podium places.
Meanwhile, Duke finished fifth in the shot put yesterday.
