Great Britain's Lynsey Sharp has failed to qualify for the final of the 800m by finishing down the field in her semi-final this evening.
The Scot got off to a good start from lane three and was up at the front by 300m.
However, she was edged to the back as they entered the final 400 and was unable to make her way to front, finishing seventh.
Speaking to BBC Sport afterwards, the Edinburgh runner said: "I just got in a really bad position up the back straight. On the second lap there was just a wall in front of me.
"I didn't execute properly."
Defending Olympic champion Pamela Jelimo of Kenya won the race to guarantee her spot in the final.
