Seren Bundy-Davies has insisted that she is happy to only feature in the 4x400m relay at next month's World Athletics Championships.
Despite achieving the qualification time for the individual event, Bundy-Davies is restricted to the relay in Beijing after featuring at the Under-23 European Championships earlier this month.
However, the Welsh athlete believes that competing at the event in Estonia will benefit her long-term prospects in the sport.
The 20-year-old is quoted by BBC Wales Sport as saying: "It was really good experience. I think it was really important I went to the championships because I've come into athletics quite late and I think for my development over the next few years it was crucial I got a few junior competitions in.
"I learned a lot of valuable lessons. It was valuable experience going into the next two big years."
Last weekend, Bundy-Davies ran a personal best of 51.48s at the Anniversary Games at the Olympic Stadium.
