British athlete Jenny Meadows has failed to qualify for the 800m at the World Championships.
The 30-year-old, who claimed bronze two years ago, couldn’t cross the finish line in time to secure progression to the next stage.
The Wigan-born runner finished the race in third place on 1.59.07, behind American athlete Maggie Vessey.
Meanwhile, Meadows' British compatriots Emma Jackson and Marilyn Okoro also failed to qualify after coming in at fifth and seventh place.
