Dayron Robles has been stripped of the 110m hurdles gold medal he won at the World Athletics Championships earlier today for pulling back fellow competitor Liu Xiang.
Robles and Xiang appeared to clash hands while leaping over the ninth hurdle, an incident which caused Chinese athlete Xiang to lose his stride.
The Olympic champion went on to win the race ahead of America's Jason Richardson, but Xiang's team immediatley launched an appeal after the 28-year-old finished third.
The 24-year-old's disqualification has seen Richardson take the gold medal, while Xiang is lifted up to the silver medal.
Great Britain's Andy Turner has also benefited, taking the bronze medal after finishing in fourth during the race.
The Cuban team have launched an appeal against Robles' disqualification.
