South Korea coach Sung Han Kook has blasted top-seeded Chinese pair Xiaoli Wang and Yang Yu after the duo lost 21-14 21-11 to Kim Moon Soo and Kim Jiyhun.
The players were booed off court at the Wembley Arena following an error-filled match, amid suggestions that they deliberately tried to lose in order to achieve a favourable draw in the knockout stages.
Kook said: "It's not like the Olympic spirit to play like this. How could the number one pair in the world play like this? They start playing mistakes.
"Their attitude is absolute rubbish."
The BWF have confirmed that they are launching an investigating into the match.
