Lee Chong Wei has won the All-England Open men's singles title by defeating Chen Long in the final.
The world number one got the better of his 25-year-old Chinese opponent 21-13 21-18 in Birmingham on Sunday.
It was Malaysian Lee's third triumph in the tournament and prevented Chen from successfully defending his title.
"I didn't know how well I would be able to play, but I feel very happy with what I did," AFP quotes him as saying.
"I had this [ankle] injury before I came here and I just relaxed because I think it maybe my last time.
"I think I did my best. Now I want to go home and talk with my coach (Rashid Sidek, a former All-England finalist) and go back to doing some rehab."
Wang Shixian defeated her Chinese compatriot Li Xuerui 21-19 21-18 in the women's singles final.
Indonesian duo Mohammad Ahsan and Hendra Setiawan claimed the men's doubles title, while Yu Yang and Wang Xiaoli of China successfully defended their women's doubles crown.
