St Louis Cardinals have beaten the Boston Red Sox 4-2 in game two at Fenway Park to level the World Series at one apiece.
The teams will now play three games at Busch Stadium before possibly returning to Fenway for games six and seven.
Matt Holliday scored to get the Cardinals on the board at the top of the fourth, but a massive home run from David Ortiz at the bottom of the sixth allowed Dustin Pedroia to cross and turn the game 2-1 in the Red Sox's favour.
However, the game was taken irreversibly from their grasp due to a double-error play ended with Craig Breslow's poor throw to third base missing wildly, and Jon Jay took full advantage to restore the Cardinals' lead after Pete Kozma had already crossed the plate.
With Daniel Descalso on third, Carlos Beltran singled to the right for him to add another, making it 4-2.
Carlos Martinez produced some excellent pitching as relief for rookie Michael Wacha in the seventh and eighth, before Mike Matheny brought on Trevor Rosenthal to finish the job at the bottom of the ninth.
