Boston Celtics center Kelly Olynyk has insisted that he did not intentionally hurt Kevin Love in his side's playoff clash against the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Love sustained a dislocated shoulder in his side's victory over Brad Stevens's men at the TD Garden after clashing with Olynyk in the first quarter of the contest.
The 26-year-old claimed that Olynyk intended to hurt him in their fracas for the ball, but the center is adamant that he did not mean to cause him any harm in the incident.
"That's ridiculous," Olynyk told The Boston Herald. "I would never intentionally hurt Kevin or anyone else.
"He locked my arm up, I locked up his as we were fighting for a loose ball. You lock up arms all the time in this league.
"I wish him a very speedy recovery, and I hope he can come back to help his team in the playoffs."
The Cavaliers won their series against the Celtics to advance to the Eastern Conference semi-finals.
