The Miami Heat fired on all cylinders to record a 109-103 win over the New York Knicks.
Jimmy Butler was one assist short of a triple-double, scoring 17 and having 10 rebounds, and Bam Adebayo top scored for Miami with 24 as all of their starters recorded double figures.
The Knicks had the best of the early running, opening up a 15-5 lead in the first, but Butler sunk two free throws at 92-92 with 5:34 left to play and Miami kept their noses in front for the win.
Bradley Beal scored 31 points but the Washington Wizards fell to a 119-97 loss to the Charlotte Hornets.
Terry Rozier scored 26 and Gordon Hayward added 25 as the Wizards lost their second in a row.
Elsewhere, Donovan Mitchell scored 27 and had 11 assists as the Utah Jazz defeated the Indiana Pacers 103-95, De'Aaron Fox had 36 to help the Sacramento Kings see off the Los Angeles Clippers 113-110 and the Phoenix Suns beat the Boston Celtics 100-91.
