Boston Celtics coach Brad Stevens has insisted that he will be the coach of the franchise next year, despite speculation suggesting otherwise.
Stevens has been linked with a return to collegiate level, with the University of Texas reportedly interested in hiring him.
However, he made it clear that he does not wish to leave the NBA, and will remain in charge in Boston to oversee the rebuilding process.
"I'll be in Boston," he said in response to questions about his future next year, ESPN reports.
The former Butler coach signed a six-year deal in the summer of 2013, and has guided the Celtics to a playoff push in the closing stages of this season.
Boston are 20-15 since January 22, and they remain locked in a battle with their rivals for the eighth and final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.
