The Boston Celtics completed a late deal to bring in point guard Isaiah Thomas from the Phoenix Suns just before the NBA's trade deadline.
The team acquire Thomas in exchange for Marcus Thornton and a first-round Draft pick, which the Suns previously secured in a trade with the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Boston also offloaded small forward Tayshaun Prince, sending him to the Detroit Pistons, with Jonas Jerebko and Luigi Datoma heading in the opposite direction.
Thirty-nine players moved to new teams yesterday, making it the busiest trade deadline day in the NBA in 25 years.
