The Boston Celtics have acquired guard Will Bynum from the Detroit Pistons, with center Joel Anthony heading in the other direction.
Bynum completed his seventh season in the NBA this year, despite being undrafted in 2005.
The 31-year-old point guard averaged 8.7 points and 3.9 assists over 56 games for the Pistons last season.
Anthony, also undrafted, began his NBA career in 2007 with the Miami Heat, only moving to the Celtics in January where he scored 22 points in 21 games.
Anthony has averaged 2.3 points and three rebounds in his seven years in the league.
