Brooklyn Nets center Brook Lopez has revealed that he has been "fully cleared" to return to action after undergoing surgery on both his foot and ankle last season.
The 26-year-old suffered a season-ending right foot injury in December last year and underwent surgery to repair a fractured fifth metatarsal, before a second procedure to reposition another bone to protect the injured area.
"I was fully cleared for play and everything about a week-and-a-half ago now. Now it's time to get back in shape," Lopez said, ESPN reports.
Lopez also had surgery to repair a torn tendon and tighten lateral ligaments in his left ankle in March and so it is unclear as to how the Nets will manage him in the coming season.
